PinkAware is a nonprofit dedicated to educating the public about breast cancer, advocating for lower screening costs, and raising awareness — locally and internationally.
Every program ties back to one goal: making breast cancer education and screening accessible to everyone, powered entirely by young people.
Directly towards the El Camino Health Free Mammogram program, decreasing screening costs for people who can't afford it. We also fundraise internally to sponsor awareness events, venues, and local chapters.
Mapathons and card-making drives that turn awareness into action, online and in person. We bring in guest speakers to talk about breast cancer and its risk factors.
We bring influential women in health, business, and advocacy to speak directly to our community via social media and Zoom — so upcoming women leaders can hear from their heroes, for free.

Every dollar helps lower the cost of a mammogram for someone who needs one. Every card reminds a patient they're not alone.

Mapathons, card-making drives, and fundraising — here's how PinkAware turns awareness into action.
We use satellite imaging to give addresses to homes and hospitals in breast-cancer-prone areas that don't have proper infrastructure. 82% of high school girls graduate without knowing much about breast cancer or its risk factors — so at every mapathon we bring in guest speakers (researchers and advocates), food, card-making for patients, and youth groups to talk about why breast cancer awareness matters so much among young people today.
We partner with local schools and associations to bring youth together to make cards for breast cancer patients. So far, we've made and donated over 600 cards to patients.
